Message from our Dean
Now is the time to take the next step in your career in health administration.
There are many benefits to earning an advanced degree, which may include job security, flexibility and increased earning potential. Without an advanced degree in this field, it can be very difficult to progress upward.
West Coast University’s MHA Program is a managerial program with a health care industry focus. It is 100% online and is designed to fit the busy lifestyle of working professionals. This gives you the freedom to complete your coursework at a weekly pace that’s conducive to you. You’ll also have personalized support from your student success advisor, plus full access to fellow classmates, student services and career services. You’ll also get in-depth, hands–on knowledge from our faculty who are industry experts, working in the field.
We also offer students an immersive Interprofessional Education (IPE) through courses that integrate IPE. We focus on the four core competencies of interprofessional collaborative practice: Values/Ethics for Interprofessional Practice, Roles and Responsibilities, Interprofessional Communication and Teams and Teamwork.
Hands-on experience is an important part of building leadership skills. That’s why West Coast University offers MHA students a variety of internship opportunities—leveraging our relationships with the Red Cross, local organizations, and International internship partners to help place you in a rewarding and intellectually challenging environment.
WCU strives to be ahead of the curve, and our Master of Health Administration program pays special attention to focusing on the emergent competencies required of those in leadership positions within healthcare environments.
Dr. Justin Ako, DC, BSBA
